Top 10 Tips to Survive the Party
1. Hydrate Before You Dehydrate
Drink a 20 oz glass of water, topped off with a splash
of Juice, before attending the Party.
2. Eat Before You Go
Have a 6 oz piece of chicken or protein before going
to the party to cut cravings.
3. Raise Metabolism with Walking
Increase your metabolism before eating at a party by
walking before you go; or walk a few blocks to and
from the party.
4. Keep Track Of What And How You Eat
Have fun. Make it a Game. Allow yourself 10 points.
Count what you eat. (Points = # of items).
5. Go for the Veggies (5 – 9 Servings)
Every time you have something fun to eat, counter it
with a vegetable.
6. Drink Less Alcoholic Beverages
For every glass of wine or alcoholic beverage you
consume, drink an 8 oz of water.
7. Look For The Fruit (5 – 9 Servings)
Off set eating high calorie food each time with a fruit
at the party.
8. Combine Food Properly
Understand that meat and potatoes cancel out the
digestive process and slow the metabolism down.
Look to eat protein with vegetables i.e. salad and
steak etc.
9. If You Over Eat, Under Eat
If you overeat one day, under eat the next with 5 – 9
servings of fruits and vegetables and 6 oz of protein
2 – 3 times for the day with eight ( 8 oz) glasses of
water.
10. Start An Exercise Program
Start and exercise program before, during or after
the Holidays to boost your metabolism and give
yourself a jumpstart into the New Year.
